Willis Howard spent a few days home last week while his ship was in for repairs. Clyde Sherman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orio Sherman, has just completed air corps training in Chicago. He was home for a week before reporting in Texas on May 17. Mrs. Lucille Kinder is in the Price hospital for an operation. High school girls entertained their mothers at a tea Friday, with a program, style parade and refreshments. Mrs. Mary Worthington was called to care for her father, Robert Howard who was operated on Wednesday in a Salt Lake hospital. Mr and Mrs. Rozel Jensen are the proud grandparents of a baby girl born to their daughter, Ms. Shirley Couch at the St. Marks Hospital the latter part of April. Mr. Couch is stationed in Texas. Mrs. Fawn Ilher returned home from Los Angeles. Her hus band has been sent overseas. Litster, Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Moses Tucker received a telegram from their son, Stephen, who has been on the Aleutian Islands, that he had landed safely on American soil and that he expected a furlough soon. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. T. Litster received a phone call from their daughter, Arnell and her husband, Harold, who had just arrived in port after an absence of three months. A very splendid entertainment was staged Tuesday night by our school. A one-aplay was presented and a reading given by Verga Bishop. The Phys Edd class furnished the balance of the program which brought out the splendid training given was the students. The house packed. Commencement exercises will be held next Thursday night, May 11. Mrs. IStena Bott of the Stake Relief Society Board was a visitor here last week. Ann Bishop, who has been employed in Washington, is visiting home folks for a few days before returning to her work. Rex Childs has returned home after an honorable medical discharge from the army. He expects to farm this summer. Mrs. Vera White taught school one day last week in ithe absence of Principal Elmo Geary. Henry Clegg has received an honorable discharge and has joined his family here. He expects to attend a Imachinist school at Provo. Tuesday was special fast day for the Relief Society and the Theology lesson was given by Mrs. Irene Sanderson.
