Tim was a kind and generous person who gave whatever he had to help others. At the time of his passing, he was helping his brother, Brent, fight a battle with cancer. Tim was born July 18, 1955 in American Fork, to Maurice Herbert and Laie Thurber Timpson. He spent most of his childhood in Denver. In 1974 he drove his flatbed Willya to Mexico with Dave Evans. But since they werent having that good of a time they drove to Salt Lake City. They stopped in the Escalante Desert on the way, where he fell in love with the red rock country. That passion lasted for the rest of his life, and he loved to share it with friends and family. In 1981, Lisa Marie, his pride and joy, was born. When she was a little bit older he loved to take her rabbit hunting in the old Chevy. He ran Highwater Cat in 1983 where he got stuck in the left eddy above Satins Gut. Once he backpacked at least 60 pounds up Jacob Hamblin Arch in flip flops, and he finally got the Bitchin Kitchen approved by the Moab City Council. Another time he got the Willys stuck in a mud puddle for two days with Teri Ann Tibbitts at Weaver Reservoir. And during a Frank Zappa concert in the Denver Colisseum a light fixture fell and hit only him in the head. He loved his daughter Lisa, the red rocks, kitties, books, fishing, growing tomatoes, all of his vehicles (and especially his Willys), Frank Zappa, potato chips, the Blues, the Brain Fields and Rock 4961, the Rolling Stones, wearing flip flops year-rouncooking fantastic meals while getting every dish dirty, crib-baghunting for arrowheads, and whistling loudly in small rooms. Some things did tend to get him upset, such as; dull knives, dogs, rusty Dutch ovens, sand in his food, and messy houses. He had an amazing resilience and love for life. He was the most loyal friend you could ever have. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Ron. He is survived by his daughter Lisa Knight of Las Vegas.
