A graduate of U S A C, Mr. Crookston studied one year at Stanford on a scholarship before accepting his position with the national fraternity. He was winner of the college citizenship award and prominent in athletics. He now has his office in Chicago, 111., and travels all over the western and southern states. However, especially during busy periods, some calls are delayed. Generally the busiest hours are during the latter part of the morning and early evening. The job of adding more circuits is going ahead despite shortages. Every expedient is being used. We have installed Army surplus material to relieve many congested areas, added substantially to our operating force and frequently rearranged existing facilities to handle peak loads.
