Ur. and Mra Howard Shuldberg of Lewiston were Sunday visitor! at the home of Mr. and Mra V. It Carver. Miss Luana Jensen spent the week end at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren at Jensen, Luana Is employed Clearfield, and lives at Ogden. Miss Derneil Jensen Is attending the USAC this year. Bernell has been employed on Second street for the past two years- - She is the daughter of Mrs. Helen C. Jensen. Mr. and Mra Harold Hansen and Mrs. Ruth Moss attended the services at the USAC Institute Sunday morning. President David was the principal O. McKay speaker, and as usual his address was most inspirational Mr. and Mra Glen Petersen Jr., Paul Hanson and daughter Ruby of Tetonia, Idaho spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Miller. S 2c Dale Olsen is In Hyrum spending a two week furlough with his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Henry Olsen. Dale has completed his boot training at Farragut, Idaho and on his return to that place will be sent to his new intraining center for further struction. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W- Grlx of Ogden entertained at a dinner party at their home Sunday in compliment to Alden Baxter, who is home on a furlough. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Baxter and son Garth also attended. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bailey attended funeral services for Mrs Karren of Lewiston Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Brown were Ogden visitors Tuesday of this week. Mrs. Charlotte Allen of Logan, who is librarian of the North Cache high school, spent Sunday In Hyrum, visiting with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Savage attended a party in Logan Friday night at the home of Mrs. Savage's parents, Mr. and Mrs-AbHansen. The party was in honor of Dell Hansen, who left for milietary Tuesday morning - - e The Ciche American, Legan. Cache County, Utah San Francisco and Los Angeles, Calif., where they were gueu of relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Nielsen, Mr. and Mra. Pierre Sorensen and Mrs. Marie Christiansen attended the funeral amices of Joseph Carlson at Logan Tuesday. Mr. and Mra- Verl Hulse of Smithfleld, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Gesst-1- . of Providence visited at the home of Alden Baxter Friday night. Ariel llulse and Boyd Get-sesons of the two couplet, hkve been in New Guinea for the past year, and Alden spent five weeks with them. The parents were anxious to hear how their boys were getting along. Mr. and Mra. Ray Burtenshaw and baby Ellen Rae of Ogden spent the last two weeks at the home of M?s. Burtenshaw'a parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Savage. Mr. Burtcnshaw is the assistant Agricultural agent of Weber county and while here he attended the leadership school at the USAC. Mrs. Ruth Miller and Martha Nielsen entertained the Junior girls of the Third ward at the home of Mardell Ellason Tuesday night. Games were enjoyed with pnzes awarded to Betty Lou Nielsen and Coleen Brown- Refreshments were served to Lu Dean Nielsen, La Rac Smith, Coleen Brown. Mardell Eliason. Betty Lou Nielsen. A Christmas social for members of the Sego Lily camp of the daughters of Utah pioneers will be held Friday. December 22, at the home of Mra Mary Duscn-brrr- y, at 2:30 p. m. The three wards of the MIA of Hyrum will hold a Christmas dance in the Elite hall Tuesday evening. December 19. under the direction of the presidencies of these wards. The dance is free and everyone is Invited to attend. Married people are given a special invitation.
