Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Seamons entertained at a turkey dinner at their home Wednesday evening. Supper was served at small tables to Mr. and Mrs. George Seamons, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Lee, Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Elwood, Mrs. Wayne Waite, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Lee, Miss Lu Jean Seamons, and Miss Virginia Lee, all of Hyde Park, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lee of Logan. Following supper the evening was spent playing cards swith high score prize being awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Prestson Lee and Miss Virginia Lee winning the all-cprize. The Junior Sunday School class enjoyed a party at the home of their class leader Miss La Ree Mrs. A party was held at the J. W. Hyde home Monday evening. Cards and luncheon were enjoyed by the following: Mrs. Jerald Alley, Mrs. Amos Brown, Mrs. Eldon Crockett, Mrs. Lynn Carlson, Miss La Ree Lamb and Miss Evelyn Hancey. Corporal Fenton Christofferson left for Tonopah. Nevada after spending Christmas at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. George ChristolTersen. Private Linden Seamons spent Christmas day at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Seamons. He returned Sunday to - Los Angeles where he is studying engineering at Loyala university. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Seamons had the privilege of having their two soldier sons home with them for Christmas. Corporal Woodrow Seamons left Thursday for Camp Bowie, Texas after spending a weeks furlouglj visiting relatives and friends. Private Allan Seaj mons returned to Salt Lake Sun-daafter spending the week-en- d visiting his parents and his wife who resides in Logan. Mrs. Roma Jean Alder and Miss Mardean Saunders were to their club at the home of Mrs. Alders parents Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Thurston, Thursday evening. A hot supper was served at one long table, which was centered with poinsettas in a bed of pine cones with red tapers at either end. Following supper gifts were exchanged and the rest of the evening spent socially. The following club members were present: Evelyn Hancey, Maurine Crockett, Doris Carlson, Evelyn Brown, Lucille Duce, Evelyn Alley, Anne Shaw, Roma Jean Alder, Mardean Saunders, La Ree Lamb, Anna Ormand, Virginia Lee and Viola Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Sparrow and daughters Carlene and Marla of Provo, spent the Christmas holidays at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. McQuarrie. Mrs. Aileen Archibald has re. ceived word through the American Red Cross that her husband, Le Roy Archibald, who was stricken with spinal while meningitis training in the U. S. navy, is at the recovering satisfactorily naval hospital in San Diego. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Miller and children of Provo were guests of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Lee for the Christmas holidays.
