X thinking man i r the (J 0 woman who have the best interests of the pie at hcail wants the IU publican party to take the reins of government until the last of the domineering jtovvers of the old party leaders have leen tucked away vvhete they will never again have a voice in governmental affairs. They had their chance. They were gradually forcing the1 masses of the people of this country into paupeiism. Much credit is due the present administration for having the American manhood sufficient to give the "forgotten man a chance. Greed for power seems to be strong within the breast of the average American politician. In the face of present conditions it doesnt seem possible that this country could be swayed from the hands of the present administration. The Republican party at one time, and for many years, had almost as strong a grip on the people. The political complexion of the country in the past five years has been completely reversed. Could not such a situation happen again? Party leaders in Utah are pursuing a policy directly toward that end. In Salt Lake City the word has gone out that no patronage is to be given out that does not meet the approval of a partisian committee. When merit is submerged by then is the time for the party in power to anticicome to the end of its usefulness as far as has pate it giving public service is concerned. The people of this country will not tolerate such a narrow sighted policy. Under the constitution of the United States, every American citizen is created equal. If party affiliation is the measuring stick for passing out public patronage, the people of this country can easily assert their rights and there is no doubt they will, should the occasion require them to NOTICE the of A.i.fi l a I.an-- lie County of ' Ik ET trr;xira'!Mi of ALLEY it and COR-.iRno- !
