Wellsville Ward To Present Plays Wellsville Wagnerian Musical Out-of-Tow- Waglwriun Muslcale, featuring Mrs. Glenn, Walker Wallace, lyric soprano, and Waller Weill, was presented under the auspices c f tiie Clio Club last Wednesday evening at the L. D. S. Institute, under the direction of Other Francis Wuiton. Champ. artists on the program included Ludran Rogers Faster, pianist; the Utah State Agricultural College oras chestra, N. W. Christiansen conductor and violinist; and Mrs. N. W. Christiansen and Mrs. Walter Welti, accompanists. In the receiving line were Mrs. Burns Crookslon, president of the Clio Club, Francis Winton Camp, Mrs. W. B. Preston, Mrs. N. W. Miss Edith and Christiansen, Bowen. There were approximately 350 guests, including many from outside the city. Those to whom were mailed invitations special were: Mrs. Emma Lucy Gates Bowen. Mrs. John Widtsoe, Mr. Reginald Beales, Mrs. W. Walker, Governor and Mrs. Blood, Mr. Thomas Giles, Mr. Tracy V. Cannon. Mr. Albert Shepard, Mr. Albert Southwick, Mr. Richard P. Condle, Mr. Lester Henehcliff. Mr. Miss Helen William Peterson, Budge, Mrs. Boig Jenkins, Miss Margaret Summerhays, Mrs. Margaret Anderson Bowen, Mr. John M. Wallace, Mr. D. Piper, and Mrs. H. E. Hatch. Mrs.' Champ, who made all arreceived high comrangements, mendation for her work last summer when she studied in Boston. Wednesday evenings program included two of her arrangements, made from symphonic orchestral compositions for a small orchestra. These were Beethoven's Sonata Op. 24, and Senta's Ballad from Wagners The Flying Dutchmna. They were majestically played by the College orchestra, directed by N. W. Christiansen. Mrs. Champ, who is also a most accomplished pianist, delighted the audience with two special numbers, Naila Waltz by Dohnanyi, and Spanish Dance. By special request, the college orchestra played an original position by N. W. Christiansen, the Coat of Arms March. This march was so well liked by A. R. McAllister when he was a guest in Logan last summer that he has featured it over the radio from Chicago with his national champion band from Joliet, Illinois.
