If perchance the contract was one of years and conditions unforeseen tJUiie requiring a review and a reconsideration of the contract, both jarties wanting to be fair would meet and discuss the nutter to their respective interests. Many years ago the legislature placet! the salary of the Governor of our State at $6,000 per annum with all necessary office and travelling expenses added thereto. At that time the $6,000 salary could be paid with 6,000 bushel of wheat. At this time it would require 20.000 bushel, or more. The executive committee of the Cache County Taxpayers Association met a short time ago and decided it would be fair to the taxpayers as well as to the Governor that he be asked on his salary beginning Januto accept a i eduction of ary 1. Deductions were also requested in all county salaries. The nominees for Governor have received letters requesting the acceptance of this reduction, and the nominees for our County Commisiomns have also received letters. Some have accepted, and some have not. In the next issue of this paper the taxpayers will lie told which of the nominees for Commisioners are willing to accept a reduction, for as it now stands, they would be receiving $1,00 per annum for ahou'-10-0 meetings with $3o expense allowance.
