N. Maughan of the South Cache Waters Users association was asked to give a report, which was made Thursday night to the effect that seven men of the Reclamation department aw working now on the final surveys of the canals and making the af lotment of water to the land affected. The work is about sixty five per cent completed. Just as soon as these surveys are completed, all the water subscribers will be visited and acquainted with their allotments. A district will be organized and with a water users association, the right of ways and dam site purchased, the government will then be ready to call for bids for the construction of the project. There is considerable work to do before the project Is let but Chairman Maughan was very hopeful that construction would get under way next spring.
