River-ton. The couple is leaving Monday, Nov. 6 for his next assignment at Fort Lust is, Va. Mrs. W. A. Fike of Copperton and Mrs. kcnucili Davis of Midvale entertained at a bridal shower for Miss Joan Fike at St. Paul's Community Com-munity Methodist Church at Copperton Cop-perton on Saturday evening, Oct. 28. Ca nes were played and lovely I refreshments were served to 25 guests. Mrs. Dewey Wright enjoyed a birthday Halloween luncheon with her sieters and families Tuesday afternoon. The luncheon was given by Mrs. Don Somniers and family of Salt Lake City and guest of honor hon-or was Mrs. Thelma Jackson. Mr .and Mrs. Joe Brisk had as dinner guests Sunday night their son, Allan, James Johnson, a nephew neph-ew of Mrs. Brisk, and his fiancee, Shirley, all of whom are attending BYU at Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Goldberg. Mrs. Raymond Larsen visited in Kearns with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Parry and family. Speir of Holla-day, Holla-day, ha been visiting at the home of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mr Frank Swain, for the past ten day. Mr. Bert Mitchell of Midvale, Mr. Joe Bithell, Mr. LeRoy Holt and Mrs. Duane Watkin of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Finnas and Mrs. Nichols played play-ed high. Dinner guest Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mr. Ray Olsen and daughter, Sherri, were Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Hooley and children, Var D and Rosemary, of Orem. Mrs. Nick Golish and children, Valori, Vickie and Venice of Salt Lake City were dinner guest on Halloween at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. George Abplan-alp. Mr. and Mr. Bob Jima and children, Barbara and Stevie, motored mo-tored to Pocatello, Idaho, last week end to attend the homecoming at Idaho State College and visit their daughter and sister, Nikkie Florence, Flor-ence, who is a student there. Mrs. J. D. Stoddard and son, Jim, and Mr. Ruth Hudson attended the wedding ceremony of their niece, Miss Ann Cooper and Mr. Alan Wilson at Skaggs Memorial Chapel in Salt Lake City last Friday. They were later joined by Mr. and Mr. Carl Kanniainen and attended the wedding reception held at Evergreen Ever-green Reception Center. Christine Winn was a week end guest at the home of Karen Hatfield ' of West Jordan. Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mr. Charle Winn and family were Mr. and Mr. Ron ! Mrs. Dan Groves is visiting with her sister, Mrs. Alvin Obourn at Kane, Pa. Mrs. Obourn is in Kane Hospital recovering from a heart attack and reported much improved improv-ed at this time. Mrs. Grove also attended the wedding of Mis Cam-ille Cam-ille Grove at Binghamton, N. Y., on October 28. Mr. and Mr. Henry A. Cheever attended a Halloween party at the home of Mr. and Mr. Jay Cheever at Granger last Saturday evening. Mrs. Angus Christensen visited in Midvale with Mrs. Vida Poulsen Saturday. Mrs. Duane Shults and son, Scott of Salt Lake City spent Sunday afternoon af-ternoon visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis DeCol. Mrs. Alice Hardy and son. Bud, of Reseda, Calif., left for home Thursday after spending the past two and a half week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Angus Christensen. Mrs. Hardy and Mrs. Christensen are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cowdell were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cowdell in Kearns. The occasion honored Ray Cowdell' birthday anniversary.
