Since it has been forced on us I suspect most of us are now ready to accept that $2.00 a month off on our light bill, which was promised in a special printed letter from ithe manager prior to the election so now we are waiting to see that and the sooner the better. Explorer,, Mia Maid Activities Mrs. Jessie Maxwell, Duchesne Stake Mia Maid Leader, reports a successful Fun Day for the Mia Maids of the Stake was held' recently at the City Park in Duchesne with Arcadia, Duchesne, Tabiona and Hanna ward represented. They had a nice program, played games and enjoyed a pot-luc- k lundh. About twenty girls and leaders attended. Mrs. Maxwell says one of the next big events on the Stake Mia Maid schedule will be the Mia Maid and Explorer Summer evening which will be held at Lake Boren on Aug. 7, at 6:00. Mr. Smith, the new county agent, will be on hand to help with the sports and games. There will be swimming for those who wish to swim, and the evening will also include a marshmallow and wienie roast. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Giles, and maried daughter and her husband of Andersonville, and children Calif, were visiting relatives in Tabiona during the week. REPORTS ON TRIP Miss Linda Thomas reports some of the highlights of her recent trip to California, which was the first time she had been out of the State. She accompanied her brother, Royal and Mr. and Mrs. Basil Defa, of Salt Lake. Among former residents whom they visited were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lison bee, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Clegg, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Clegg, Mr. and Mrs. James Crocker, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Crocker. Mrs. Lisonbee and the two Mrs. Crockers, are all, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Ervan Clegg of Tabiona. Linda says they visited the largest zoo in the world, in San Diego. Royal renewed acquantances at the Navy Base on Coronado Island where he was stationed during his time ,in the Navy'. They also visited in Tia Juana, Mexico and enjoyed a tour of Hollywood movie stars homes. They attended the Cinerama Holiday in Hollywood. They also visited many other interesting special attractions of Southern California.
