Show talmage TABIONA 8 Honorary Award Goes To Jessie L- Maxwell - TABIONA Mrs. Jessie L. Maxwell received the Honorary Golden Gleaner award for the Duchesne stake last Friday evening at the annual Gold and Green Ball in the Duchesne stake chapel. This was really a thrill to all of us who have known of her lifetime of faithful service, to the young and old alike in the church, and in private life. Her official offices have been many and varied, including YWMIA president, Relief Society president, and a faithful teacher in the Sunday School and other groups. She has long been voted a favorite teacher by all who have been privileged to attend her classes and still is often sought for advice by those who have long since ceased to be a member of her group. WEDDING DANCE It is announced the same music from Ogden that played for the Post Prom last Friday at Tabiona, will be on hand to provide the dancing rythm for the wedding dance in the Tabiona High School gym next Saturday evening, April 30. The occasion will honor Mr.1 and Mrs. Ray Pace, popular young couple at Tabiona, who were wed on April 2. The new Mrs. Pace will also be honored at a bridal shower that same afternoon at Tabiona. All are invited to attend the shower and the dance and have an enjoyable time. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Nye were Salt Lake City visitors Friday, to where Mrs. Nye submitted dental surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Don Giles and family, of Heber, were guests over the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ivie. Other transplanted Tabionites, who are in Salt Lake City working but spent the weekend with home folks included Mr. and Mrs. Basil Defa, Myrthan Defa, Mr. and Mrs. Darreld Ivie, LaRena Curry, Mr. and Mrs. DeLyle Giles, Allen Giles and Mr. and Mrs. Ray By Sharon Hamilton The Tabiona High Post Prom was a huge success. The music was furnished by a western orchestra from Ogden. The band, chorus, and P. E. classes are all working hard this week, getting ready to participate in the Uintah Basin Activities Days, to be held at Roosevelt this Friday. We certainly enjoyed presenting our Exchange assembly at the other schools last week. We were at Duchesne and Altamont Wednesday and at Uintah and Union Friday. The seniors are all in a dither trying to plan their graduation. Mrs. Virgil Wadley has returned to her home after spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Atwood in Salt Lake City. Mr. Atwood, who recently submitted to surgery, is doing as well as can be expected, and his many friends will be glad to hear he is now able to be up and around and to drive his car some, after his illness. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clark, of Salt Lake City, attended the - Junior Prom, but we were sorry to note Bill had an injured foot, suffered while at work. We hope he will soon be completely recovered from the accident. Mr. and Mrs. Aldon Chatwin, of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors in Tabiona. Strawberrij.
