Those Who Servo Our Communitiss Among the couples who are real pioneers of our community and who have been faithful in serving the people by putting out grand cooking, are Verda and Marvel Moore. They started out in 1924 with a little hotdog stand that stood where the Shell Service Station now stands the first year they were married - six months later, to be exact. They served the public well and put out food that was wonderful. Marvel's pies were famous even then. They expanded, bought property and built the cafe that is now Cowans, or Bill and Evas. That was in 1927. They sold out in 1934 and moved into their present building. They have, now remodeled it and made it into one of the Basin's finest cafes. Their progress has not stopped, as they are in the process of now remodeling it again into the latest style. They will reopen on Monday, Apr. 4, to all their old customers and , many new ones. It has taken many years of faithful, hard work to make it into what it is today, and Verda and Marvel should be highly complimented for their progress and success in serving the public so well. . son-in-la- Motlco to Creditors Notice For Dlds V JL Early Application Gives Complete Control LowCoat Insurance lor Cig Yields Ceil and Easy to Apply Host Widely Used Insecticide by Alfalia Growers Recommended by All Ctate and Federal Experiment Stations.
