DUP Officers At Entered a Second Clan Matter at the Post Office at Ducherne. TMai Pro- 1953. -o The Thanksgiving issue of the Tabby Times is scheduled for distribution this Friday. Mrs. Thelma D. Nye. county captain of the Duchesne County Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and Mrs. Elaine S. Webb, secretary of the countv organization, visited the Roosevelt Camp Friday afternoon at the meeting held at the home of Mrs. Nedra Nickell. The county officers urged the members of the Roosevelt Cams to write histories of themselves and their parents so that the true pioneer story of Duchesne County and the Uintah Basin can be recorded for future generations. Only by the writing and filing of these individual histories can the true pioneer story be told. The pioneer period of Duchesne County mostlv begins at the time the reservation was thrown open for settlement and especially encompasses the next ten or twenty years, according to the state, central officers. This advice from the county officers applies to all Camps of the Duchesne Countv DUP Chapter as well as to Roosevelt. -o testants may appear at the hearing and adduce testimony in support of their protests. Beck-stea- . matter-of-fac- - n . s With Thanksgiving drawing nigh, we are reminded that we all do have a great deal to be thankful for this season. In spite s of a late spring, we had a harvest. And above all, we should all thank our Father in Heaven for the privilege of living in this great land of ours, where we can still have the freedom to pursue our own individual ways without interference from the government or anyone else, as long as we do not trespass on the rights of others. Because of the spirit in which the first Thanksgiving was held and because of the ideal it has portrayed ever since it was first proclaimed as a national holiday. I feel this is one of our most important anniversaires, to be observed with happiness mingled with reverence. With all my heart I wish all my readers everywhere, a truly magnificent Thanksgiving. boin-teou- Relief Society Bazaar A Success Mrs. Delene Allred went to Salt Lake Thursday to attend the wedding of her brother.
