There were about 25 couples in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Merkley and children, of Salt Lake City, spent the Labor Day weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thacker. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Cook and children and Mrs. Max Clark, of Salt Lake City, spent the Labor Day weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswel and family. David Cook returned home with his parents after spending the summer with his grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Art Case and son bpent the Labor Day weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Les Orr. Mrs. Carl Allen has returned home after two major operations and is reported to be conHer valescing successfully. mother, Mrs. Les Orr, is helping for a week or two. Her baby son is doing well. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hansen and daughter, Carolyn, and Miss Marilyn Plowgian were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Peterson, of Salt Lake, were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Lyu-deHansen. Milton Ricks, of Upalco, and Less Orr were the speakers at sacrament meeting Sunday evening. Miss Mona Miles sang One Sweetly Solemn Thought. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen and family and Miss Lois Sadler were in Provo Sunday ti attend a family reunion. n ed the wedding dance and reception for Mr. and Mrs. Max Stevenson Saturday night in the Altonah Ward Hall. Mrs. George Berrett Sr., of Murray, spent a week with her daughter, Mrs. Glade Timothy, who is home from the Roosevelt Hospital with a new baby girl Mr. Berrett came alter Mrs. Berrett Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Branch, of Price, Mrs. Mable Stevenson, of Salt Lake City, Mary and Elwin Birch, of Mt. Home, were guests of Mrs. Elva Snyder on Saturday. Mr. who is 78 years old and a former resident of Altonah. was bishop of the ward for many years. We wish him a speedy recovery. Mrs. Mary Carroll and son; Gene. spent a few days in Salt Lake last week. Mr. and Mrs. Kieth Snyder made a business trip to Salt Lake City and Tod Park, Wednesday. They left their children with Mrs. Snyders parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham, at Ballard. Mrs. Dallas Ames is visiting with her daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wirth-lin- , and family in Salt Lake. Mrs. Wirthlin was released recently from a Salt Lake City hospital with new twin boys. Mrs. Glade Timothy and family, Peggy Ralphs, Mary Ann Max-fiel- Riley, Katherine Berrett. and BobBle Dunamore attended a birthday party In Bluebell recently in honor of the- 9th birthday of Karren Clark and the 4th birthday of Norma Clark. They are daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clark. Mr. and Mrs. George Berrett. Jr., and family left Tuesday on a trip to Yellowstone National Park. They were joined by Mr. and Mrs. George Berrett.- Sr., of Salt Lake City, who accompanied them on the trip. Rose Bowden, of Bonanza, spent a week with her grand mother, Mrs. Mary Bowden. Preston Allen accompanied George Rogers, of Mt. Emmons, to Ogden Tuesday, with a load of cattle belonging to him and to Albert Rochel. Mrs. Mary Bowden and son, Louie, spent Tuesday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bowden in Gusher. Mr. and Mrs. Coral Mair and family, of Ogden, visited in Altonah Friday They are former residents of Altonah. . Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hancock and their two boys, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend here with relatives. Goodrich, who has Boyd spent the summer working hi Salt Lake City, spent a few here with his parents. He days is ' teaching school at Alterra this year. Present were Garda Seeley, Hazel Goodrich, Lois Goodrich, Velma Monsen, Irene Barrett and Jennie Goodrich.
