She was accompanied by her brother-in-laEarl Van Tassel and Mrs. Van Tassell. Gail is serving in the L.D.S. Indian Mission, and recently was transferred from Gallup, where he had labored among the Navajo Indians. Mrs. Van Tassell states that they attended the Indian Centennial, which she said was very interesting and colorful. The Zuni tribe is the only one that does not have some belief in a Creator or Supreme being. They are silversmiths and quite a wealthy people, and boast that they have never been conquered by any tribe. Elder Van Tassel found that the Navajoes were humble and believing, and many converts were made. But the Zuni people he finds are hard and masterful, slow to place their trust and belief in others. He feels that the work will be much slower and more difficult with this people, so stated Mrs. Van Tassell. We had a wonderful trip and visit, said Mrs. Van Tassell, and found Elder Van Tassel well and happy in his work. basin - D and Adele returned this week from a vacation trip to Yellowstone National Park.
