The music was furnished by the Rythmetts. The dance proved to be fairly successful. A sweater queen and king were chosen from each class to compete for sweater king and queen for the Frolic. From the freshie class, Janet Cowen and Lloyd Abplanalp were named; from the sophomore class were Rachel Stocks and Kipp Merk-ley- ; from the junior class, Marion Hadden and Ronald Robins; and from the senior class. Lauta Mayhew and Conrad Hollenbeck. Janet and Lloyd were elected sweater queen and king of DHS for the coming year. We had an assembly the other day featuring A1 Conner and his assistant, also his trick dogs. His assistant played 6 musical instruments at once. Tangren, assistant state forester and fire warden from Salt Lake City, visited in Duchesne county Tuesday and Wednesday of ,this week and discussed fire control plans with Sheriff Arzy Mitchell and Forest Ranger Earl Roberts, at Duchesne, and in Altonah with Ranger Clyde Lambert. During his visit to Duchesne county, Tangren praised the sheriff, forest rangers conservation services, schools, Duchesne county newspapers and other groups for their splendid work in the fire control program.
