The L.D S. ward chapel was crowded Friday evening when the Relief Society prepared a delicious banquet to help raise funds needed by the ward. The entire community turned out to enjoy "the banquet and the dance which followed at the Myton school auditorium. A nice sum was raised by this venture. Mr, and Mrs. Charles Meranda spent the weekend at their ranch west of town and enjoyed visiting with their friends while here. Fritz Schleinitz, who has been employed at the Emery Smith ranch in Deep Creek during the summer months, returned last week to spend the fall and winter in Myton. Maxine Parrish is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Parrish during the short vacation period between the summer semester at the University of Utah and the fall term which will open September 26th. Mrs. Lucy Barney, who has been visiting during the summer with her daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Partridge, left last week for her home in Escalante, Utah. Mrs. Partridge accompanied her mother as far as Salt Lake City. William Evans has been a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cooper. He returned Tuesday to his home in Salt Lake City. Fritz Scheinitz accompanied him, on his return trip, to spend a few days in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Leavitt and Mrs. Jennie Barboglio, of Price, spent the weekend visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Partridge. Mr. Leavitt is O 05 02UI503UI3 Mr. and Mrs. Ashel Bingham enjoyed a reunion with their sons and daughters and families, Sunday, when the boys gathered for a baseball game with the Myton team. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Bingham, Lowell Bingham and Bill Binghma, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bingham and children, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bingham and family and Owen Bingham, of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Woodruff, of Price; Morris Peterson, of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Ashel Bingham and children, and Mrs. LaVor Dennis and daughters, of Myton. A large crowd of baseball fans swarmed to the Myton diamond, Sunday, when an impromptu game was arranged for the Myton baseball team and the Bingham Nine. The members of the latter team are all former mem-ber- s of the My.ton team and although out of practice they put on a good show for the fans. They had one advantage as they were assisted by Mytons regular pitcher, Acel Bingham, who joined with his brother and brothers-in-lato the enjoyment of the onlookers. The final score was 9 to 2 in favor of Myton. Members of the Bingham team were more than sporting in their efforts to entertain the crowd when none of the boys had played ball for some time and undoubtedly suffered many sore arms as a result of the battle. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Smith and daughters, Alice Bell and returned Thursday from a visit with relatives and friends in Glenwood Springs, Rifle, Delta and Grand Junction, Colorado. M,rs. Amanda Parker returned last week for a short visit in Vernal, Giles Wood underwent an operation at the Veterans hospital in Salt Lake City, Thursday morning and according to latest reports is getting along nicely. Mrs. Wood returned from Salt Lake City Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. David Tanner are enjoying a visit from their son and daughter-in-law- , Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Tanner, and baby, who arrived Friday from Sacramento, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Tanner, of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors at the home of Mr, Tanner'i mother, Mrs, George Tanner. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Pectol, who have been visiting at the home of their daughters, Mrs. Clarence Woodard and Mrs. Alvin Brummett, left Thursday for Ar-det- h, ten-da- y , son-in-la- Mrs. Partridges son. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson, of Vernal, were visitors Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ashel Bingham. Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Krissman and children expect to leave soon to seek a new location. Mr. Krissman has served the public at the Conoco service station during the past three years and has sold his interests to Lee Cooper and Haydon Cooper, who took over the station Monday. During the time they have made their home in Myton, Mr. and Mrs, Krissman have made many friends who will sincerely regret their departure.
