Mrs. Annie Stanley of Heber, Mrs. Ida Ward and Reah Ward of Provo, were Tabiona visitors last week. Kenneth Carlyle motored to Heber Monday. His wife was able to return home with him. She has been ill for a long time and we wish her a speedy recovery. Norman Casper and Marvin Ottosen are home after spending the week in Salt Lake City attending the Boy Scout Jamboree. Norman is a first class Scout and Marvin a Star Scout. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clark and Mrs. May Lambert were in during the week for the purpose of consulting doctors. J. H. Delyle Giles is in the Heber se-erospital being treated for cuts he received when he vas pulled into the saw while working at the mill. The latest word is that he is getting along s well as possible. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Giles, have veen out to Heber with him. Hailwood, who will leave soon to make their home in the East. About fifty guests were present to extend greetings to the honored guests. Gifts were presented to Rev. and Mrs. Hailwood, showing the high esteem in which they are held in this community. Rev. Hailwood has served as of the Presbyterian pastor church during the past 8 years. Residing at Vernal, he has made weekly visits to both Myton and Duchesne to complete his pastoral duties. LaRae Reed was hostess to twenty young friends, Saturday afternoon, in celebration of her eleventh birthday anniversary. Games were enjoyed during the afternoon and refreshments were served to the jolly group. The young hostess was the recipient of many nice gifts. Miss Betty Jenson returned last week from Logan, where she attended Girls State," sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. She reports a very splendid program, which would have great influence on the girls who attended. She will make a report at the next meeting of Wm. R. Sands Unit No. 5, about August 22nd. Miss Genele Smith, who has been visiting with relatives at Orem during the past two weeks, returned home Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Ehrenhart and baby daughter returned to their home at Las Vegas, Nevada, Saturday, after a weeks visit with Mrs. Ehrenharts parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merl Jennings. Mr. and Mrs. John H. Blaine and two small daughters returned home Thursday, after a vacation trip to Yellowstone National Park. Mrs. Lamar Anderson and children returned to Salt Lake City, Friday. Mrs. Anderson had charge of the Myton hotel during the absence of her mother, Mrs. Johnson, who spent a week at the Anderson home in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dennis, of Provo, visited with their sons, Wallace and Syerl Dennis, last week. They were accompanied by their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Don Henry, of Los Angeles, who were vacationing in Utah. Mrs. Harvey Tucker, of California, a former Myton resident, and her grandchildren, David and Carma Lee Murray, of Hawaii, visited with Myton friends last week. She reports her mother, Mrs. Persis Horsley, a pioneer of this district, who is now more than 80 years of age, enjoyed a plane trip to Hawaii last winter, Vern Muse returned to Salt Lake City, Sunday, after spending a few days with his wife and children. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish enjoyed a visit from Mr. brother and sister, John Dalgleish, of Gem, Idaho, and Mrs. R. C. Walker, of Salt Lake City. They accompanied Mr. Dalgleish and Mrs. Walker to the Hot Pots at Midway, Sunday, where they were joined by other members of the family for a reunion. Sixteen members of the Dalglish family were present. Mrs. H. II. Blaine returned Monday from a visit to Salt Lake City, where she was a guest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marion Madsen. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hall, of Sahara Village, Utah, and Donald and Hope Montgomery were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W..R, Harris.
