Emmons, Mrs. Russell is chairman of the beautification committee. J. B. Carlos, of the State Beautification committee in Salt Lake City, was present at the meeting and supplied some very interesting information relative to the beautification of Duchesne county. An open discussion was entered into by the committee relative to setting up a definite program for Duchesne county. The following were present at the meeting: Mrs. Beth Brother-so- n and Mrs. Alice Oman of Boneta; Mrs. Adeline Anderson, Mrs. Agnes Larsen, Talmage; Bluebell; Mrs. Novella Potts and 'Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Murphy, Upalco; Mrs. Merle Ross, Arcadia; Mr. Wm. D. Preece and Mr. WIilmer Murray, My ton; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown, Montwell; Mr. Floyd Case and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Russell, Mt. Emmons; Mr. John P. Madsen and Mr. Porter Merreil, Duchesne; and Mr. J. B. Carlos of Salt Lake City. According to Mr. Merrill, who is Chairman of the County Centennial committee, anpther meeting will be held sometime in the latter part of October and all committee members will meet and discuss the progress that has been made in the different towns and communities and discuss ways and means for the further beautification of Duchesne county. At the close of the meeting a delicious luncheon was served by Mr. and Mrs. Russell.
