The first reunion was held in 1936 at the instigation of" Mrs Alice Swain, assisted by C. E Pearce, Lillian Whitlock Searle Merrill Bennion and Gertrude Collett Thoman. C. E. Pearce was president of the organization for the first two years. The reunion has been an annual event since its beginning and from year to year has grown in popularity and size.
