He was wounded in action on Luzon, and was then sent to a hospital base, returning to the United States July 7th, when he landed at San Francisco., His many friends were delighted to renew their old acquaintance, and will be happy to welcome him when he returns to again make his home in Myton. He is now residing at Layton with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ashel Bingham. The American Legion and Auxiliary Wm. Sands Post and Unit No. 5 were in charge of a memorial service held Sunday in the Arcadia ward hall for SSgt. Floyd Richens, who gave his life in service to his country. He arrived in New York City on August 11th, after serving three years and four months in the army air force. He was a member of the ground crew of the 8th Air Force and wa3 stationed in England for 27 months. Ray will enjoy a furlough with his home folks and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Pusey came from Salt Lake City Thursday to bring their family and the children of Otis Pusey to spend a few days at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Pusey, returning home Friday. Mr, and Mrs. Otis Pusey arrived Sunday to visit and return the children to their homes in Salt ' Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. A1 McAfee and son Douglas of Salt Lake City visited in Myton Friday while en route to their home from a business trip to the Basin. Mrs. Perry Grant and Mrs. .Carlos Marsing were Myton visitors Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wilson and daughter Nola spent Thursday and Friday in Myton attending to their interests here returning to Ogden Friday. Arvel Nielson G. M 3c arrived furSunday to spend a lough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery INielson. The young sailor is a member of the armed guard and has been serving in the South Pacific area. Private and Mrs. Elmer spent Thursday in Myton to attend to their property interests. Mrs. Yergensen is making her home at Sigurd, Utah while her husband is serving in the army. Mrs. Joe Zirko and children left Friday for Ely, Nevada after enjoying a months vacation at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.O. A. Dart and at the home of Mr. Zirkos patents, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Uresk. Pvt. Vaughn Peterson is spending a few days in Myton and Roosevelt visiting with his wife and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Peterson. Vaughn has now completed his training at Fort Riley, Kansas, and is a member of the mechanized cavalry.
