Mrs. James Dalgleish left Thursday for Duchesne, to spend a day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, before their departure Friday morning for Ton-apaNevada. While there Mrs. Dalgleish, in her official capacity as President of District No. 5, joined the Department President and Department Secretary of the American Legion Auxiliary for a meting in Duchesne Thursday night with the Duchesne Unit No. 22 a meeting at Altonah on Friday afternoon with the Altonah Unit, at Roosevelt Friday evening with the Roosevelt and Myton Units, and completing the official visits at Vernal Saturday night where they were guests at ADVERTISING RATES ne s!) h, a birthday anniversary party honoring the American Legion. Pvt. Calvin J. Monks arrived home Wednesday from Fort Sill, Oklahoma to enjoy his furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Monks. Roland Krebs Jr., who has been confined at the Veterans hospital in Salt Lake City during the past three months as a result of a fractured foot suffered while skating, was sufficiently recovered to return home Thurs- Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart Anne Anderle, members of the Wm. Sands Unit No. 5, American the Legion joined Auxiliary, Roosevelt Unit at Roosevelt Friday evening to enjoy a banquet and the official visit of the Department President 4nd Secretary of the American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Glen Olsen of Hanna spent Friday in Myton visiting with old friends. She was a guest of Mrs. M. C. Adams while here. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Davenport Sunday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd and children and Miss Alice Todd. Mrs. Mark Curtis returned Friday from Salt Lake City, where she attended the funeral of her aunt, Mrs. Mary Vail. Mrs. Leonard Harris returned Sunday from a short visit in Salt Lake City. Leland Wilde and daughter Lou Jean of Roosevelt were Myton visitors Sunday. They report Mrs. Wilde is at present in a Salt Lake City hospital receiving medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Colishaw and baby were week end guests at the home of Mrs. Coishaws parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Parish, returning Sunday night to their home in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lawrence Merkley and children and Mrs. L. M. Parrish accompanied them to Salt Lake for a short visit. The Primary teachers of the Myton ward who attended the Primary convention in Roosevelt Saturday afternoon were: Mrs. s, Lydia Peatross, Mrs. Wm. Miss La Rue Linck,' Mrs. Don Herbert, Mrs. L. M. Parrish, Mrs. Lila Coombs and Mrs. Mark Curtis. Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis and sons Lail and Norman spent the week end visiting with Mr. Dennis parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dennis at Provo and with Mrs. Dennis parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Whiting at Wallsburg. They were accbmpanied by Miss Beatrice Hawkins and H. L. Crapo, who continued on to Salt Lake City, where they spent the week end visiting friends. Belva Cooper, the eight year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cooper underwent an appendectomy. at the Roosevelt hospital Friday. According to the reports the little miss is getting along nicely. Mrs. Ole Peterson and small granddaughter left Friday for Morris Provo, accompanying Peterson, who was attending to busoiness matters in Myton. His wife, Mrs. Dora Ivie, who is recovering from her illness, will be able to return home the latter part of the week. Mr. Lloyd Bryant and son Kenneth, were here last week, driving the caterpillar and filling up some of the mudholes. They also changed the road in a place or two. As some repairs had to be made on the caterpillar they were unable to finish the job for a few days. Mr. D. Swain and Jerry Allen of La Point came over to do the mechanical work on the caterpillar. They had to send to Salt Lake for some new parts before the road work can be finished. Fred Perron and son Bob of Roosevelt were here visiting and taking care of their business on two different days of last week. Mrs. Gertrude Bashan of Salt Lake spent a few days visiting with her father, Charles Fenske, and sister, Mrs. Roy Eliason. She left Sunday on the bus for her home.
