Whenever a large or even a small group of people really unite to accomplish an objective it is remarkable the power and ability they can secure to further their aims. A concrete illustration of this occurred in our city recently. A short time ago the Moon Lake Fish and Game Association was revived, after it had been inactive for some time. Our good friend Edwin Carman was placed at the head of the organization, with William H. Case as vice president. A great deal of interest has been shown in this organization and a, goodly numbers have enrolled. With the forming of this organization there has come a strength and an ability to secure the attention and cooperation of both state and national fish and game officials that we could not possibly have obtained without a live, united organization. Soon after the organization of our club, Mr. Madsen, who is in charge of the State hatchery program, stopped in Duchesne and congratulated us on the step we had taken, and assured us of his willingness to cooperate with us in a program to better the fish and game conditions here. And as Mr. Carman gets around and learns how things are done in the fish and game work, he plainly sees the great possibilities of improving our conditions if we continue working unitedly together. From authentic reports which have come into our office we feel safe in saying that the next few years will see a great improvement in the number of fish in our streams, because we have started a campaign of Vorking unitedly together towards that end. We now have an opporunity to establish a cooperative milling company here if we will unite together and put it over. An experienced miller is here preparing the mill, and plans are being prepared for a cooperative organization. A business of this kind could be of untold benefit to this community, If this business is organized properly and conducted in an upright, honorable manner, we can establish here an industry which will be of great benefit to all of us, and bring much business to our city, both milling and otherwise. Let us see that we do not let this opportunity slip through our fingers. We cannot afford to allow an opportunity of this kind to pass us by. If we really chose to unite and seek one, we could also have a good bank here. There is of money here to justify the establishment plenty of a bank, the only thing we lack is the determination to have one. If we ever awaken to the wonderful which we have within us when we unitedlypowers work together with honesty and intelligence we can make f V Duchesne the dream city which we had hoped to live in, but never thought possible of realization. Any outside assistance we might need would be glad to come to us if we demonstrated by our unity and honest planning that we were really in earnest in our plans for our city. The greatest and most frequent mistake we , is in under estimating our own powers, and marie waiting for some one to come and do for us the things we are able unitedly to do for ourselves.
