Hospital in Salt Lake City, returned home Sunday much improved in health. Mrs. Russell Robinson was shopping in Roosevelt Wednesday. Mrs. J. A. Angus was a Roosevelt visitor Monday. J. N. Jenson received word on Wednesday that his son, Bert, was killed in action June 27 at Biak Isle. Mr. Jensons many friends extend their deepest sympathy. . The Cooking Club held a meeting Thursday, August ' 17, at the home of Florence Percival, with seven members present. Dale Jones is the leader. Max Allred arrived Thursday from his camp in California. He came home on account of the death of his sister, Glenna. Miss Elaine Carroll returned home from Manti after a two weeks visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. James B. Murray attended the funeral services of Mrs. Murrays brother, Wm. Ashby, in Vernal Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Fietkau and daughter of Anderson Dam, Idaho, came in Wednesday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Fiet-kau- s sister, Glenna. Mrs. Dean Reay and daughter, Joyce, and son, Robert, spent a few days in Provo last week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred' De Rolf announce the arrival of a son, born August 17. Mrs. De Rolf before her marriage was Miss Lenora Powell. Mr. De Rolf is serving in the U. S. Army and is a prisoner of war in Germany. Mrs. DeRolf is being cared for by Mrs. Dorthella Dastrup at Altamont. Clinton Bowden took his brother, Lionel, to Myton Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. G. C.
