Mr. and Mrs. John H. Blaine and Mrs. H. H. Blaine spent the week end in Salt Lake City visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Wendal Workman are the proud parents of an infant sen, born Saturday at the home of Mrs. Workmans parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson. Mother and baby are doing nirely. Father and grandparents are very proud of the first child and grandchild in the family. Wendal Workman came in Saturday from Salt Lake City to be with his wife and see his new son. Mrs. Emery Neilson i3 slowly reccvering from injuries suffered in a motor accident near Arcadia last week. Eugene Miller, who was called home last week by the death of his father, R. E. Miller returned Sunday to Fort Warren, Wyoming. E. W. Kronquist .left Tuesday on a business trip to Salt Lake. R. C. Floyd Lamb and son Rex made, a business trip to Salt Lake City, A COMPANION NUISANCE TAX Six couples from Arcadia took part in the Stake Gold and Green Ball floor shew, held at Tabiona j Wednesday evening February 5th. ' They were accompanied by Stake President of the M. .1 A., Martha Shanks and Joseph Shanks. Miss Minnie Farnsworth has been chosen queen of the Arcadia ward M. I. A. February 5th three registered draftees from Arcadia were called to Duchesne for physical examinations. They were Albert Glen, Gil- jbert, Joseph Francis Ross and John Ivan Richens. Gilbert and Richens passed and will leave on February 26 for Salt Lake City, but Mr. Ross did not pass the exj ' amination. The Relief Society met in the ward 'hall Wednesday and quilted a quilt. Eight members were present and refreshments were served. Mrs. Lacey Thayne and two small daughters of Mt. Home spent last week visiting at the home of her brother and sister in law Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Farnsworth. Glen Gilbert returned Wednes- day from California where 'he has been employed for the past three months. Mrs. Charlie Bird is improving after her recent illness, Kenneth Zirker who is attending 'school at the A.
