Jensen entertained on Wednesday afternoon at her home in honor of Miss Alice Jensen of Ogden, the occasion being the fourteenth birthday of the honored guest. The living rooms were decorated with garden flowers and a delicious dinner was served from one long table covered with a cloth and centered with a beautifully decorated birthday cake, in green and white. The afternoon was spent in an informal way and Mrs. Jensen was assisted by Miss Donna Jensen of Ogden. Earl entertained at a delightfully arranged bridge luncheon Wednesday afternoon at her home, in compliment to the Young Matrons club. The small tables were arranged on the cool lawn for bridge games. At six oclock a refreshing luncheon was served in the dining room. A crystal bowl of pink sweet peas and pink candles In crystal holders made the table attractive. Contract bridge prizes were won by Mrs. Wm. C. Call, Mrs. J. Leo Nelson and Mrs. C. A. Munns. XX Mrs. Books Reviewed The first of a series of book re- views sponsored by the Y. W. M. I. A. was given Tuesday In the First ward chapel at eight p. m. Henrietta B. Johnson gave the review, using Dreisers "An American and Neihardts "Black Elk Tragedy, as the basis for comment Speaks, and for contrast in types of current literature. The second book review will be given next Tuesday, June 16th, at the same time and place, and is open to everyone Interested. XX Swimming Party Given A most delightful swimming party was enjoyed Tuesday evening at the Crystal Springs by members of the h club. Jolly The members were accompanied by their club leaders, Miss Jean Stewart and Miss Beth Nelson. Miss Arola Bott and Miss LaVon Bott also attended the party. After a swim the group enjoyed a delicious luncheon. XX 4-- H Catch-a-Stitc- Dublers Entertained Miss Doril White was hostess to the members of the Dublers club Wednesday evening at her home In Willard. Pink sweet peas centered each of the four small tables,- where luncheon was served. The evening was spent in playing bridge, with prizes being won by Miss Flora Simmons, Miss Ann Pearson and Miss Dale Hansen. XX Summer Party Held The officers and teachers of the Second ward Sunday school enjoyed the annual summer party at Crystal Springs last evening, with members of the bishopric, and the retiring superintendency and their wives, as special guests.
