Jones in the city court this morning, charged with issuing a check without sufficient funds. He entered a plea of guilty and was ordered by the court to pay the amount of the check and the costs of court. Cecil Richardson of Elwood, was arrested Monday by Sheriff John H. Zundel and Deputy Fred Sorensen on a charge of rape, alleged to have been committed on May 10th. He was arraigned before Judge Jones in the city court this morning. He entered a plea of not guilty and the hearing was set for October 5th, at 10 a. m. His bond was fixed in the sum of $1,000. The officers were not notified of the case until the day after it is alleged to have happened and Jiave been working on the affair since that time, only establishing the identity of the alleged guilty party yesterday. Nobody was injured in the crash, but both machines were damaged. On Monday at 2:35 a. m., a Ford car owned by Wm. H. Kay of Harts-vili- e, Ga., and a Chevrolet driven by Thomas Adams of Tremonton, collided at the intersection of Main and Second South street. Mr. Kay was accompanied by J. T. G&mple of Summerville, Ga., G. W. Hughes of Avondale, N. C., and E. C. Lablank of Louisiana, who were on their way to the State of Washington. Adams was accompanied by two young people of Brigham City. None of the occupants were injured, but both cars were slightly damaged. A heavy schedule of bird and big game hunting in Utah will begin on Monday, October 16th at 12 oclock noon and will continue for two full months. The fall duck season will be both the first and the last on the docket, opening October 16th and concluding December 15th. The deer season will open October 20th and close October 39th, both dates included, while elk will be in season from November 8th to 22nd, inclusive.
