VOLUME 38. amps Boost Sale of Topics Of The Week BUDDY POPPIES Utah Canned Goods V Establishment of forest conservation camps and the upturn in commodity prices are reducing the surplus of canned goods in Utah cannery warehouses, it was learned Saturday. One canner said that his firm recently did not know what it would do with the great number of cases containing goods packed in gallon cans. This supply now has vanished. Conservation camps will be heavy consumers of canned goods and when road building is resumed the potential demand will be further increased, it was stated. What the establishment of camps means in the way of food supply is indicated in a dispatch from Boise announcing that bids will be received Monday and Wednesday in Boise for supplying thirty days rations for ,500 men coming into western Idaho. With the probable exception of peas, Utah canners will dispose of all their stocks before the pew canning season begins, it was stated.
