The extremely low cost of attending college right now, the fact that to remain out of school would mean simply wasting a year because of the scarcity of jobs, and the desire of students to become trained for the advent of better economic conditions are the primary factors which are expected to keep up the enrollment this year. Registration for new students will take place on Monday, Sept. 21st. Former students of the college will register on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd. Classes will begin on Wednesday morning, Sept 23rd at 8 oclock. A special program for new students Is being prepared by a committee of which Dr. W. W. Plenderson is chairman. It is planned to hold a general assembly of the new students Monday morning prior to the beginning of the! actual registration process. At this meeting, instructions will be given' to new students. A faculty and a student reception will be held on Monday in the Smart Gym. Members of the housing placement committee will be located at the chamber of commerce and at the college to assist students in finding board and room accommodations as they arrive In town. The members of the American Legion Auxiliary held their regular meeting Monday evening at 8 oclock at the Legion home, with President Mrs. C. E. Dunn in charge. An in tereating program, consisting of a violin solo by Miss Beth Watkins, two piano solos, Miss Helen Tiller and a vocal duet by Misses Echo and Frances Jensen, was carried out. Reports of the American Legion convention at Park City were also given.
