Figures just compiled by one of the leading statistical agencies of the country show that more than (1,000,000,000 ha been spent for motor trucks and motor truck equipment during the present year. These figures show thnt commercial ears built during the year haris a total value in excess of $250,000,000. More than $175,000,000 was spent for tiro used for replacement; $250,000,000 for gasoline; $37,000,000 for lubricating oils; $60,000,000 for special bodies; $73,000,000 for replacement part and supplies; special equipment claimed $15,000,000, and labor, including repairing and over hauling cost, $150,000,000. It will be seen from the nbove figures that the total amount of money spent by those operating trucks during 1922 will be well in excess of one billion dol. lars for the past year.
