This simple agreement, ridiculously weak 'in (the minds of sneering militarists, is, In fact, of enormous value to people everywhere. Of course all wars wont be stopped merely because war is illegal. Murder has not (Ceased evdn though much time has elapsed since Moses came down from the mountain with the Ten Commandments. Hitherto war has been legal. A sovereign nation has had the right to announce that, war existed. Having made such a declaration, every gov- Pledged by Fifty Bear Lake Lake county have already themselves to pool their turkeys .and sell them cooperatively on the Christmas market. Birds actually contracted for the pool, number more than 2,000, and contracts will be received up to Tuesday, November 20th. It is predicted by Chase Kearl, county agent, that the pool, will by that time number between $000 and 5000 turkeys. This will be more than six 'times the number of birds that were in the first Bear Lake county pool in 1924, and more than twice as many as were in the 1025 pool. Mr. Kearl, James A. Hymas and Frank Kibby were, on Saturday, ap pointed as sales committee to represent the group in the matter of disposing of the crop. Mr. Kearl will also arrange for a number of demonstrations involving the latest and best methods of dressing turkeys. At the meeting, growers were urged to begin feeding iberally to insure a prime finish of the birds. The basic ration is suggested as rolled barley, sour skim milk and wheat, supplemented with yellow corn, if the price on the latter product is not out of reach of thef grower. Turkey growers of Bear Lake valley," said Mr. Kearl, have demon strated the value of cooperation in the matter of disposing of this particular commodity. The same cooperative attitude could as well be applied to several other commodities which are produced in (this valley with an advantage to the grower and without disadvantage to the buyer or ultimate consumer.
