Elberta Theatre Sheffield Market Good Things to On the evening of Monday, July 16th, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Eskelsen, formerly of this city, entertained at their home in Belle Fourche, Soutlh Dakota, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. N. O. Simonsen and their boys of this city who were visiting with their Mr. and daughter and Mrs. Earl Bowcutt. A feature of the evening was a talk by Mr. Eskelsen, his subject being Trout Fishing In the Black Hills. Mr. Eskelsen is the champion fisherman of Belle Fourche. A delicious luncheon was served to all present, the Misses Nora Nelson a and Ruth Eskelsen officiating. FULL VALUE mb On Thursday afternoon from 2 to 5 p. m., The Ladles Aid Society of the Presbyterian church gave a party on the east lawn of the court house square. It was a beautiful, place for a party, with its splendid trees and well-kegrounds, making a delightful cool and shady retreat. Bridge was the pastime of the afternoon and jlelicious refreshments were also served at small tables. It was a delightful affair, and the ladies are expecting to give another before long. pt OF -- Tuesday afternoon. Frede F. Petersen of Bear River City was a business visitor to this city on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. I W. H. Gleave and daughter Helen, left Thursday morning for Richfield, where they will enjoy a ten day visit with relatives. Miss Melba Jorgensen of Los Angeles, Calif , is spending a few days visiting in this city. She is me guest of Miss Mable Kaiser. Miss Lavern Cheney returned on Saturday to her home in Los Angeles, Calif., after having spent two weeks visiting friends and relatives here. Burnham of Salt Lake City left Tuesday for a two weeks trip to the( PacificiNorthwest. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Nelson and children of this efty are spending their vacation with friends and relatives at Rexbrg and other parts of Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. C. Simonsen and children of Burley, Idaho, who were enroute to Murray, spent Tuesday in Brigham City as the guests of Mrs. Caroline Hendrickson. Miss Blanche Hyde of the Elite Millinery, in company with relatives from Salt Lake City, left Brigham City on Tuesday for an auto tour of the Yellowstone National Park. Miss .Bernice Sheffield of this city t underwent an operation for appendicitis last Monday evening at a local hospital. She is reported to be getting along very favorably at present. Mr. and Mrs. A. Mr. and Mrs. Lamont Glover of Evandton, Wyoming, are visiting with relatives and friends in Brigham City. They motored to this city, touring the Yellowstone National Park enroute to this city. Melvin Jones has Just returned from Ft. Meade, S. D. after a jperiod of training with the 4th Cavalry. Jones is a Reserve Army officer. He will remain here a few days and then return to California. Mr. and .Mrs. J. D. Peters of this city, Mrs. Sarah P. Stohl and daughter Mrs. Hazel Jensen and son Clark Stohl of Salt Lake City visited with relatives at Malad, Idaho the early part of this week. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy G. Webster of Salt Lake City motored to Brigham City on Tuesday to visit with Mrs. Websters parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Jepperson. Mr. Webster returned home Tuesday night and Mrs. Webster remained to spend the week here. Mrs. Jennie Roberts of the Blau Shoppe of this city left for Salt Lake City on Wednesday afternoon where she will visit her cousins, the Misses White. Mrs. Roberts and the Misses White ,in company with other friends left Salt Lake today for California for a outing. Mrs. J.'R. Smurth waite and daughter Zella and son J. Richard of Baker City, Oregon, visited with friends and relatives in Brigham City yesterday. They came to Utah to attend the funeral services of A. W. Hansen, which are being held at the Garland tabernacle this afternoon.
