The people of Brigham City have a spring food which nature provides that is par excellence and ought to be partaken of freely at this season of the year. We refer to the luxurious water cress growing in the scores of springs and streams that are to be found in the meadows fringing the city on all sides. This spring tonic can be had in abundance by simply going forth and plucking it out of the water and for a tonfc and appetizer just after the snow has gone and the sun is beginning to warm the earth up a bit, there is nothing better. People in the big cities pay handsomely for this food article; we can get all we want of it by either going ourselves op sending a small boy. And yet like so other .ill Inga .that are easily obtained ibis grand wafer cress is 'unappreciated because It is so common. THE PUBLIC COMPLAINS A i1 in Elfirr Nrma . a state foothills, was designated road some years ago, as was the read running west and up through the Boar River Valley. In ame.uii. g the law, the legislature turned back the mountain road north of this cltj to the county and designated the alley highway as the state road. That means that a hard surface i iad will be constructed from Brigham City to Corlnne and thence north as far as the stat& road officials designate. That will be a great boom to Brigham ' City, as well as to the cities and towns along the route, but the turn ing back of the mountain road means that that highway, perhaps one of the worst in the county, will get sejant consideraton because af lack of funds. This highway, when once put into first class condition, would be easy to maintain and there is a gleam of hope that the road will receive' consideration at the hands of the government because it is a post road and the - last Congress appropriated J100, 0,000 for the construction of post roads throughout the nation. In any event, what the people of Brigham City must do, is to work for the best roads possible leading it. to the city. Good roads, commercial and Bth-ar- a social prosperifv-an- d, inseparably linked together and good roads constitute the beginning of the achievement of the balance of the program. i After the performance at the High School Friday evening, a large comHave a Care, pany of patrons of the school from Dont tell your troubles to a policepoints north of Brigham City who had come in to town to witness the pro- man unless you ore looking for more trouble. duction were forced to stand outside the U. 1. Such consideration for the comfort of the traveling public would ' be deeply appreciated and would at the same time save the electric road a lot of hard knocks iS which naturally follows any slight. Intentional or otherwise. ..The'- Piraie- - fcOADS AND Sh! What would happen BUSINESS prominent merchant made the remark the other day, that if Brigham City had good roads leading in to i from all points, the commercial side-o- f our community life ould immediately show a jump upward.' That logic Is good and sound. Another bit of sound logic is that a community, like an Individual, seldom gets anything it does not go out after. These things being true then every citizen of Brigham should make it his and her business to boost for and demand bettor toads leading into the community. This can be done without being oflens-ivand yet In such an insistent wqy that results are bound to come eventA e ually. Brigham City is located on the great highway, both railroad and automobile, and it is not necessary to go far out of his way for the traveler to get into this city. A city never gets too much business and while Brigham City has done well in the past, there is room for greater progress and good roads is perhaps the one outstanding factor to bring this about. The recent Legislature made some changes in the state road law and that change affected Brigham City directly. The road leading out of this city north along the mountain to me if I were your kid? Well, if youre not acquainted For over a year, he continued, my wife was nbthing but a nervous wreck. She had no appetite, and could eat nothing but the lightest kind of diet. Even that would disagree with her, and swell her up with gas that pressed so ground her heart that she could hardly get her breath. She suffered constantly from spells of nervousness so that she could hardly sleep, and she would get up in' the morning feeling so tired and depressed that she wouldnt be fit for a thing all day long. She used to weigh a hundred and twenty-fiv- e pounds, but she fell off in a short while till she was but a shadow of her former self, and got down to ninety pounds. She was losing out day by day and became too weak to look after her household duties. In fact, her condition was so serious that I felt uneasy lest she should go all to pieces. "Well, about six weeks ago I got a bottle of Tanlac for her, and now after taking only four bottles of the medicine, she looks like a differenOo-man- . Besides regaining all her lost weight, she can eat anything she wants without suffering the least bit of distress afterwards. ' Her nerve3 are in fine shape and she sleeps all night like a child. She never complains of that gas trouble or of shortness of breath, the ueadachefe are all gone and she says she is simply feeling fine in every way. I can well b lieve it, too, for she is bright and cheerful all the time anh I havent seen her looking so well ia many months. Tanlac is sold in Brigham by Eddy Drug Co., in Garland by R. V.
