The body of Mrs. Edward Simonsen of Alexander, Idaho, was brought to Brigham City last Friday afternoon and interred in the cemetery, here with brief services under the direction of Bishop Geo. W. Watkins. Mrs. Simonsen died on the 3rd. inst., of pneumonia superinduced by influenza, and leaves a husband and five children. She was formerly Miss Elizabeth Gunnel and was bom at Wellsville ,in 1884. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Simonsen resided in this city, the husband being a son of Mr. and Mrs. Nels oimonsen of the First ward. Later they removed to Alexander Idaho where Mr. Simonsen engaged in farming with much success. The family was very prominent in the affairs of their home community and the taking of Mrs. Simonsen is mourned by the entire community. At the graveside, Friday afternoon, Bishop G. W. Watkins conducted the funeral services, remarks being made by the bishop, W. C. Horsley and Elder Gunnell, an uncle of the deceased. The dedicatory prayer was offered by L. W. Anderson.
