The smelter, proper, consists of a blast copper matting smelter inches at the tuveres, with a maximum daily capacity of over 200 tons. The furnace was furnished by the Colorado Iron Works, of Denver. The blast is furnished by a sixty-seve- n cubic foot Connersvllle blower, General operated by a Electric motor. v sampThe equipment of the 200-t- n ling plant was furnished by the company. The briquetting plant has a capacity of 8.000 bricks per hour, and the machinery for the same came from the works of Chisholm, Boyd & White. This plant Is used in briquetting concentrates, flue dust and other fines, and 42-1- rs enables the companv, in smelter operations. to make a higher saving of values in the smelting of concentrates, flue dust and fine products. All of the motors are of Bullock .manufacture, with the exception of the General Electric now in use In the blower house. Water for all requirements is obtained from artesian wells, and this is pumped into a 25 000 gallon tank, which supplies the furnace jackets and other requirements. The plant can boast of a finely equipped assay offlce and laboratory while a nicely furnished club house is an attraction enjoyed bv the semlter staff and visitors. At the present time the company is giving employment to a force of from 100 to 125 men. and this will be increased as additions are made to the capacity of the plant. The bins and floors at the smelter alreadv show quite an accumulation of ores, concentrates, lime rock, fluxes and briquettes, and this is being rapidly added to as the consignments from mining companies and mine owners arrive for unloading. ; : DIRECTORS: : : - ; - ; - ; - ; - : ; ; : Joseph F.
