Bingham Garage Battery and Ignition work Overland and Automobiles Willys-Knig- ht GENERAL REPAIRS Tuttle Building Opposite Auditorium EXXXXXXXXZXZXZZXXZXI STEALING THUNDER Read this editorial from the New Haven Con. Union of June 2, 1926. Two New York physicians. Dr. Henry P. .DeForest and Dr Horace G. Baldwin have been conducting some researches In the medical laboratories of Cornell University. The medical profession, snd a large part of the press. Judging from the editorial comments wo have aeen, are very enthusiastic over the alleged discovery of these very reputable physicians, who have worked the theory that a slight dlscloc&tion of the dorsal bone of the pelvis exerts pressure on nerves passing through the sacroiliac Joint and causes many of the Ills that now afflict the human race. By adjusting these bones In place they say they have worked seemingly miraculous cures in thousands of cases, and we have no doubt this Is true. . Now all this has a very old and familiar sound to anybody who understands the theory and practice of Chrlopractic. This new(T) method of treatment which these M. D.s flatter themselves with having discovered (?) has been known to chiropractors for nearly years textbooks used in Chirothirty years. For the past twenty-fiv- e practic schoflla have set forth in detail everything that Drs. DeForest and Baldwin now promulgate as something new In healing. For twenty-fiv- e years the medical profession generally has been laughing scornfully" At the claims of the chiropractors, which are Identical In every respect with those now advanced by these eminent medicos, whose alleged discovery is now being hailed with pride by the ' medical profession. We cannot remain silent, therefore, while these medical researchers thus attempt to run off with a large slice of the chiropractors thunder. We say this because we know the contempt and contnmely that the medical profession generally has heaped npon all forms of drugless healing, especially Chiropractic. Instead of Drs. DeForest and Baldwin wasting their time fussing around the Cornell Medical Laboratory they can save themselves a whole lot of trouble by attending any reputable Chiropractic school where they will learn that they are only thirty years late with their great medical discovery. However, if the reseaches of these doctors can shake the medicos out of the Ingrained prejudice that so many of them have against the theory of Chiropractic, they will have built far wiser than they know. They will hare discovered something far greater tnd far more fraught with good than what they imagine they have discovered. They will help greatly to discover the theory of Chiropractic for a generally blind and stubborn medical profession. They will have proved to a rather orthodox and dogmatic healing cult that It la not the sole cusodlan of progress In the healing art, that healing progress is not dependent upon any particular healing cult, that the world does more, and that those who obstruct the wheels of progress are sooner or later certain to be plattened by them. The wrier of the above article is right. It will require a whole lot more discovering on the part of these physicians before they will know as much about nerve pressures as the properly trained Chiropractor knows. A chiropractor licensed to practice in Utah must know his business. The law in our state now requires in addition to a preliminary education of four years of high school and one year college, that the person practicing or even attempting to practice adjusting of the spinal bones, must show an attendance of 4000 hours in a Chiropractic school of college. This is for the protection of the public as well as for the chiropractors. You aro safe when you call and sec. The Chiroprctor Licensed Chiropractor SERVICE PATHO-NEUROMETE- R " Presidency.
