Mr. Sorenson has given these lectures throughout Utah and Idaho, and has been greeted with crouded houses and accorded much praise for his delightful entertainment. Miss Johnson, head of tbe Art department of tho school and her advanced classed In art are putting forth every effort to stage tho opera in a setting thit wilt bo a credit to the school. The financial report fras read and approved. Lars F. Larson and Frank .Nelson were elected as members of the board for a term of two years. Mr. Hill of the county organization was present and informed the local Farm Bureau that the county committee had met with tho County Commission and had an appropriation of $500.00 to fight the Tuberculosis disease among the cattle fn this county. Mr. Hill also would said that the Government furnish two veteranarians and county would furnish one free of charge and ask the local farm bureau to cooperate with them In this matter. The following committees were selected: Committee for testing cattle for tuberculosis, David II. Jones, George Christensen and Lorln Creer; Committee on taxes, R. W. Creer, William Grotegut and Frank Nelson; Committee on raods, Joseph Evans Sr., Morgan Beck, and A. R. Creer; Good seed committee, Oliver Swenson, L. P. Larsen and George Rlgtrup; Canning committee Wellington Wood, N. L. Gardner and George Hales; Dairy Committee, Einar Christensen, Daniel Gull, William Larson, John W. Jex and Dell Banks. Mrs. Dena Bowen was hostess to the Ladles Literary club last Friday afternoon. The time was occupied principally with the reading and discussing of a magazine article from the Pictoral Review on The Life and Work of Cora Wilson Stewart"; and "This Moonlight School Ladies". Mrs. Anna R. Beck gave the history of the song "Dixie" and Idd the ladies in community singing of the old favorite. Luncheon was served to 12 members and five Invited guests: Mrs. O. V. STM FOR GRANT ' The fifth annual Leadership Week will convene next Monday morning, January 25, and will be In session all week at the Brigham Young University. The courses are all prepared and the program has been printed In readiness for tbe influx of visitors Monday morning. Tbe week is going to be well attended according to Director Lowry Nelson, who has the work in charge. Mr. Nelson returned from Cache Vafr ley where he found many of the wards had already appointed representatives to attend this great annual school of church leaders. Seventy stakes and one mission were represented last year and this year is expected to break all records for attendance. The cources have been grouped around the slogan, "Better Teaching of Religion, and will make an effort to conform to that subJjecL The Boy Scouts are to have a regular scout school almost by themselves as a whole day will be utilized for scouts, according to Dr. Carl F. Eyrlng, who has the work in charge. A recreational program especially designed to lit the needs of the auxiliaries of the church has been prepared. This program will include dancing, pageantry, dramatic art, rmusic, and singing. Each evenng of Leadership Week will be devoted to some phrase of recreation.
