Mr and Mrs. Charles Vincent motored to Salt Lake last week to visit friends and relatives. Miss Rakey Gunderson returned Saturday from a two weeks' vacation spent in Salt Lake. The C. and F. Card club held its regular meeting Monday evehing at the home of Ernest Close. Mrs. Close was hostess to the club, assisted by Mesdamea and Whtte. A farewell reception was tendered to Herman Tayipr Friday etening of last week on the occasion of his resignation as secretary of the C. S. Fuel company - . M. C. A, at West Hiawatha. The reception was held at the amusement hall, during which dancing was enjoyed followed by luncheon prepared by the ladies and the Amusement association. During the evening Mr. Taylor thanked those Present for their manifestations In his honor. A Handsome steamer trunk wee presented to Mr. Taylor by a number of the employees of the Hiawatha mine with whom he had been In daily association for the past ear and a half.
