Hammond, state director of regMr. Hammond istration, yesterday. points out that tho law on this subject la quite explicit, and that an Informal complaint to the bureau, even though over a signature, is not a sufficient pro, ceeding. The question came up when physician wrote to the director notifyingf him thak two other physiicana who have been practicing for several years in Utah were granted their licenses on the representation that they had diplomas from a now certain medical college, extinct, which, the complaint asserted, never hadbeen recognized by reputable medical lnstltutlone. It was asked that a renewal of the licenses be refused. The director, however, states that the law leaves him no such option, and that such, cases may be handled only after formal procedure, on complaint duly certified, and after a , hearing.
