Just now tho Commissioners are awaiting the arrival of General Terry, one of their number, who is expected here in a few days. Senator Howe left here on Sunday for Washington, in answer te a request of the President. Dr. Saville, the agent at this place, has not yet returned from his eastern visit. The Marsh charges are looked upon as the work of parties who desire to affect a change in the brood of Indian contractors and agents at present running this end of the Indian business; but of course all such theories must be taken grithdue allowance for the interest that every one who lives here feels in the agent and agency. There are here and atCheyenne, Fort Laramie, Sidney, and scattered through and about this country hnndreds of miners awaiting the consummation of the forthcoming treaty, when they will make a grand rush for the Black Hills. Everyone, from the highest to the lowest, all classes and grades, that I have met with in this country is affected and afflicted with the Black Hills fever. If the Hills were'opened to morrow I doubt whether a sufficiency of white employes could be obtained to run the agencies and do the citizen work at the military pots. Hereabouts the fever is all pervading. Col. John D. Burke leaves this morning to bring up his Indains, who are camp ed about fifty miles from here, to his Major agency, to attend the council. Red for also his. sent has' Bingham Clouds Indians are camped in this neigh )orbood, while Spotted Tail can have Us Indains here in two days from the time they commence moving. The outlook dont promise anything practical for one or more weeks. Indians think and act very slowly. They have no idea of time, and place no value on it ' Camp Robinson, located one and a half miles southwest of here, is garrisoned by six companies of troops, two of cavalry and four of infantry.- Tho cavalry is made up of Company K, 2nd cavalry, under Captin James Egan, and Company H, 3rd regiment, under command of Captain Guy Hennry. Tho infantry is made up of four companies of the Ninth infantry; the post is in command of Major Jordan, Captain of A company, 9th regiment. ; ; - Montana Street, j.i . .?- -t oxsara&Ax HOTEL.
