Mrs. Abraham Lincoln, widow of the late President, was ,ve?terday adjudged insane by a juryT in the County Court, and this morning was removed to a private asylum at Batavia, 111. The inquiry was made on petition of her son, Robert T. Lincoln. The evidence of a number of pbysicans, the proprietor and several employees of the Grand Pacific Hotel where she has been staying since her return from Plorida, and of lierson and numerous friends, all showed she was undoubtedly insane. Her insanity has been of a mild type, but after the trial she became violent and was obliged to he placed under restraint. It 1ms been known by Mrs. Lincolns family and friend for several years past, that her mind was unsettled to a degree which full v warranted her being called inane, hut a natural reluctance to take any steps which would mako the fact known to the public has heretofore inlluenced them against restraining her in any way of her liberty, or putting her under medical treatment for her mind.
