Cowan a large stockholder in the White Pine company. K. W. Orr of Cherry Creek, a lessee who has been developing the ground of the company during the winter, writes that in virgin ground, about one mile east of the copper workings and close to ground that was mined for its silver in early days he has opened up a twelve g foot vein of rock, carry ing values of 65 ounces to the ton, with 50 cents in gold. The strike was made at a depth of about 150 feet. Mr. Orr also reports that two feet of the ledge is unusually high grade, carrying 200 ounces in silver. not Exploration has yet progressed far enough, say Mr. Cowan, to determine the full extent of the ore body, but enough has been demonstrated to insure several substantial shipments. silver-bearin- Pipe Swan A Finch Union Tank do preferred . . lic SECURITIES Prairie .12U, Southern Pipe South Penn Oil S W Penn Oil Standard Oil C8llf(mia Standard Oil Indiana StandardOil Kanaaa Standard Oil Kentucky Standard Oil New York Standard Oil Ohio . . . do preferred Standard Oil Nebraaka . iKYESTLEIT Alex Prairie Oil .....
