The center employs attorneys that will go to bat for consumers and clients facing severe or ongoing violations to the Americans with Disabilities Act. This comprehensive and enforceable piece of legis- lation set standards nearly 15 years ago for construction of public buildings, employment and a host of other civil rights specific to people with disabilities. The DLC is based in Salt Lake City, and has embarked on a program to help rural communities form advisory councils that would meet annually to bring concerns to the center in a formalized manner.
