On Tuesday, March 9, at around 9 p.m., Grand County Deputy Sheriff Louis Manson stopped a 1999 Honda Accord on Interstate 70, at milepost 210 for speeding. Deputy Manson discovered that the vehicle was stolen out of Whittier, Calif, after checking the driver resisted and was able to flee in the stolen vehicle. A pursuit occurred on the frontage road between Thompson and Crescent Junction, where Highway Patrol officers, Grand County Sheriffs deputies and Emery County deputies pursued the stolen car and attempted to place the driver in custody when the He driver.
