The results were announced Monday by Col. Danny Sprouse, Air Force Materiel Command IG Team chief and Col. John Poutier, Air Combat Command IG Team chief, to packed audiences in the Base Theater and in 388th FW, 419th Fighter Wing and 649th Combat Logistics Support Squadron facilities. Throughout the presentation, the cheering audiences heard three words outstanding, excellent and satisfactory repeated over and over. All are good ratings, since, as Sprouse noted, a satisfactory rating means you have met the demanding standards established by Air Combat Command and Air Force Materiel Command.? Addressing the crowds after the ratings were announced, local and command leaders offered nothing but praise. I would like to tell you all how proud I am of you and your excellent ratings, an enthusiastic Maj. Gen. Scott Bergren told the audience. 1 dont believe in my 30 years in this business Ive ever heard of or been part of an organization that received so many ratings from the Inspector General of at least satisfactory or above. That is a tremendous accomplishment on your part. It is time for us, for a little while, to step back and enjoy what weve just accomplished over the past week. When thats over, it will be time to go back to work. All you have to do is read the newspaper today or tomorrow or last week and you will see that youll never know when our nation is going to require the skills that you have just demonstrated so proficiently. Brig. Gen. Ron Sams, ACC Inspector General, noted that the Hill team would be hard to beat. If I was an adversary and I read your ORI scores, Id know one thing dont mess with Team Hill, Sams said. Thank you very much for what you do for our Air Force and for our nation. I know its a lot of work and youve worked very hard, but in terms of combat capability and combat readiness, remember this this is a marathon, its not a sprint. I want you to keep working really hard and make a great team at Team Hill even better. Col.
