Show 7 HilttopT August 3, 2000 honors AFMC Mission Planning Support Division The efforts of Hills Mission Planning Support Division were recognized by the Air Force Materiel Command Engineering and Technical Management Directorate and Lt. Gen. Charles Coolidge, AFMC vice commander, during a Wright-PattersoAFB -- n ceremony. The aerospace community recognized that theyre the best of the best and validated the expertise and caliber of the people weve got, said Lt. Col. Ricky McClary, chief of Hills Mission Planning Division. David Putman was recognized with the Technical Management Support award. He was handpicked to lead the Ogden Air Logistics Centers Software viding operational logistics support for the l and platforms durB-- F-1- 17 ing Operation Allied Force. Engineering Process Group. Putman supervised over 500 people who worked on the Capability Maturity Model. His knowledge and experience were respected to the point that he received constant correspondence from software development organizations all over the world asking for his help in implementation of CMM concepts. The Mission Planning System Support Facility earned the Technical Management Team award. The team led the way in introducing information management technology into the Air Force Mission Support System. They collected and managed program data from the AFMSS System Program Office, The Munitions Test and Evaluation Flight received the Gen. Bernard P. Randolph Engineering Team award. The Munitions Test and Evaluation Flight presided over the successful test of a record number of ordnance items and fired over 5,700 individual items with a data collection accuracy rate of greater than 98.5 percent. They managed the most complex and diverse tests ever conducted by the Test and Evaluation Flight. The team expanded and redefined the engineering staff to transform the unit from simply a test conductor to a test facility in the model of the Air Forces ' major test centers.
