Show 'Heirforce' adds Chapel singles program SSgt. Robert and Vickie Donner are parents of a baby girl born June 24. Study focuses on finding love by Chaplain (Maj.) Ronald Underwood Senior Protestant Chaplain Everyone I know has at least one thing in common they yearn for true love. Since more than 90 percent of Americans get married at least once in their life, it seems most try to find this love in the marital bonds. The base singles program is beginning a study this week on "Finding the Love of Your Life." We will look at a number of principles that should be considered in seeking true love and happiness. We meet each Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel basement. In a Los Angeles Times poll, more than 2,000 adults were asked about their main goal in life. The overwhelming response was "to be happily married." However,-sinc50 percent of first marriages fail failure is rate (the higher for second and third marlot a of people aren'tfinding the happiness riages) , they long for. Of those that remain married, I wonder how many are genuinely and truly happy. When two people fall in love and decide to spend the rest of their lives together, they can experie ence tremendous joy or unspeakable pain. The success or failure of this relationship has lifelong impact on them forever, as well as generations of their children. It is a true statement when I say that, usually, as the marriage goes, so goes the family. If husband and wife are happy, so the family will be. If their relationship is sick, the chil U III dren will most likely "catch" it and carry on the family tradition. Other than your relationship with God, your choice of whom to marry is more crucial than all the other decisions you will ever make in life combined! If you choose well, you will find life easier and more satisfying. If you make a mistake, life can become a nightmare, causing fantastic pain to both you and your children. This is one decision you must get right. As a marriage counselor, many of the faltering marriages I've encountered were in trouble the day they began. They simply chose the wrong person. Choosing a lifelong partner isn't like buying a computer or a car. You don't select them simply based on what looks good, feels good and has the right equipment. Rather, you think about it in advance, consider it deeply and prepare the best life-changi- weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces. SrA Kevin and SrA Melissa Choate are parents of a baby girl.
