The flyers had been involved in another search for a downed plane. State Director of Aeronautics Harlan Bement stated that the search, which included 21 airplanes, was covering the entire southeastern portion of Utah, but no sign of the missing flyers had been found. The Grand County Jeep Possee participated in the search. No one should be made to depend upon his neighbors moral qualities and inward perfection for his own well being. Total dependence of this sort can easily lead to a master-slav- e relationship- -a corruption of wealth and power. Accumulation of wealth itself is a social process. It is only as society as a whole creates the economic environment, that wealth accumulation occurs. Is a partial return of this wealth to less fortunate members of our society an evil? We worry about govern- mental abuse in social programs. It seems to me, however, that in our own imperfect democratic soci-ietwe the people, have at least some control over abuses. The joint committee indicated that it was hoped that by deleting the section of the application concerning the dam, a project dealing with flood control work in the Moab area would be more favorably considered. July 12 was also set as trial date for the case of Minerals Service Company versus Cisco Drilling and Development Inc. Trial was set for March 15 for the case of Michael Rex Wyatt versus Kathy Louise Wyatt. A motion for a trial setting for the case of Tracye Walker versus Laurie Wickham was denied. A default divorce was granted to Dianne Smith from William Jess Smith. A request for A3 ACCIDENT Brake failure was listed as the cause of an accident at the A & W Root Beer Drive In, Thursday, Jan. 7, at 12:35 p.m. A Moab Police officer who investigated the incident reported that the brakes apparently failed on a 1977 Ford pickup driven by Betsy Keir, 20, of Moab, as she pulled into the drive-in- . The truck struck the front of the building, knocking several cement blocks out of a wall and breaking a 10 by window.
