In terms of fun, the outing was a big success, and a number of participants are still here seeing more of the countryside. Club members led two informal trails on Monday and one each Tuesday and Wednesday. visitors included Arizona, California, ' Nevada, Colorado, New Jersey, and Washington. More than fifty vehicles traveled four camp-ou- t trails. A last minute trail addition was a mountain trail led by Harvey Dull. His ten vehicles visited Onion Creek, camped on Polar Mesa, and traversed Geyser Pass in a bit of rain. Mr. Miles has served as the Director of the Utah State Division of State Lands and Forestry since 1981. He has worked in the area of state forestry since 1968, serving as Assistant State Forester, Deputy State Forester, and Field Operations Manager prior to becoming the DirectorState Forester in 1981. Mr. Miles received a B.S. Degree in Forest Management from Utah State University in 1968. He also attended the University of Utah and Southern Utah State College.
